Flexi-boarding

'If you’re looking for flexi-boarding, you won’t find better.’  Good Schools Guide
Flexi-boarding

Flexi-boarding is a popular choice at St Andrew’s. Pupils can board midweek Monday to Thursday, or opt for one-off stays. Our lovely boarding house is bright, comfortable and cosy and provides a family atmosphere. There are currently four 6 bed dormitories for boys and girls, with plans afoot to grow further.

Bedding is provided, but regular boarders may choose to bring in their own duvet cover as well as suitable posters and photos to personalise their area. In keeping with School policy, mobile phones and other internet-enabled devices are not allowed in the boarding house.

In addition to the bedrooms, there is a quiet area and a games room with TV, comfy sofas, table football and a pool table. Afterschool boarding activities include campfires, crafting, roller discos, movie nights, ‘Bake Off’ cookery sessions, rock climbing, rifle shooting, golf, cricket nets and swimming. And of course, hot chocolate and toast always goes down a treat!

Head of Boarding Kirsty Parkhouse, her dog Croydie, the House Parents, Will and Georgie Carter, and wider boarding team focus on pupil wellbeing in a caring, family environment. A qualified first aider is always on site.
