Welcome back! We’re pleased to see the children have settled smoothly back into their school routines. You may have noticed that a new path has been laid alongside the Pre-Prep building. This improvement is intended to make access easier and safer, especially as we head into the winter months. Our grounds staff have also tidied the grass along the edge, and we kindly ask that you use the new path rather than walking through the muddy areas when entering the school.

Thank you to all our Pre-Prep children who have been busy raising money by helping with odd jobs at home over the half-term! We hope you’ve enjoyed how helpful they’ve been around the house—tidying, sorting, cleaning, cooking, maybe even shopping! There’s still one week left to gather a few more pennies for this great cause. Please send the Pudsey money box back to school by Friday.   

On the day, all Pre-Prep children will join in a fundraising “Pudsey event” at school. If your child has a Pudsey bear or Pudsey ears, they are welcome to bring them along. Don’t worry if not - every child will make a headband at school to wear.

As the weather turns colder, it’s time to think about keeping warm for outdoor play. 

Please send in winter essentials, including:

• Waterproof gloves (avoid woollen ones as they don’t keep hands as warm when wet) For Nursery, mittens are easier than gloves

• A snood (scarves can be tricky to manage!)

• A hat (St Andrew’s beanies are available at the uniform shop)

• Warm socks for wellies

• If temperatures drop below freezing, ski clothing can be sent in (thermal jackets, salopettes, snow boots)

Label Everything

Please make sure all items are clearly labelled with your child’s name, and show them where their name is. In a busy cloakroom, this helps them identify their own things quickly and easily.
