This year, we are holding two separate carol services at Bradfield College Chapel: Years 3 - 5 (2.00 pm - 3.00 pm) and Years 6 - 8 (4.00 pm - 5.00 pm). In both cases, parents and family are invited and are welcome to collect their children from Bradfield directly afterwards.

Parking

Year 3 - 5 Service - Parents can arrive from 1.15 pm to park. Please follow the signs and the instructions from the staff marshal team.

Year 6 - 8 Service - Parents can arrive from 3.15 pm to park. Please follow the signs and the instructions from the staff marshal team.

Refreshments

The Stunt Pavilion will be open between 1.30 pm - 4.00pm for refreshments.

Housekeeping

Please arrive no later than 1.50pm to be seated for Years 3 - 5 Service and 3.50 pm for the Years 6 - 8 Service.

Collection of children

If parents are not attending the services, the children will return to St Andrew's and can remain in Late Club until 6.00 pm in the Music Centre, as normal, to be collected at any time to suit you. If you have children in both services, those in Years 3 - 5 will return to school for Late Club supervision, to be collected from 3.30 pm or following the Seniors service. 

All Pre-Prep siblings will be supervised in the Pre-Prep Hall, free of charge until the services end, and can be collected from the cloakroom.

All kit will be coming home on Thursday so they will have no bags with them.

Year 3 and Year 5 have been preparing for casual filmed performances during their drama lessons, which will take place in January. The children are very enthusiastic about creating props and costumes for these performances. Pupils have been asked to collect costumes from items they already have at home and make props out of cardboard or similar materials.

Please note that, as the children take part in larger productions in other years throughout the school, this project will be on a smaller scale and part of in-house learning. Children shouldn’t be spending any money but rather enjoy the process of getting creative.

Pupils should practise their lines over the Christmas holidays and bring in anything they have gathered or created when we return to school. Props and costumes can be stored in the Drama Studio.

Prep School children can wear a Christmas jumper to School on Wednesday 11th December 2024.

All pupils in Years 7 and 8 warmly invite their parents to Fireside Carols at 5.30pm on Monday 9th December in the Senior Dining Room. This is a long-standing tradition at St Andrew’s with seasonal refreshments and festive entertainment! If your child is unable to attend, please could you inform Matrons by email.
