As part of St Andrew’s Sections fundraising efforts, Pre-Prep will be taking part in a Sponsored Swim on 17th March to raise money for Thames Valley Adventure Playground (TVAP). This wonderful charity provides a safe and accessible play space for children and young people with special needs. You can find out more about their work on their site.

During the afternoon of 17th March, the children from Oaks to Year 2, will be swimming in their sections, working together to cover as much distance as possible within a timed session. Our goal is for each section to collectively swim over 1000 meters—an exciting challenge that will require teamwork, determination, and lots of encouragement!

Parents are invited to pop into the classrooms between 8 - 8.30 am and have a look at their children's work. Please park on the grass if you arrive before 8.20 am. If you arrive after 8.20 am, you may use the Pre-Prep parking spaces.

We invite parents to join us for a new Maths Workshop. During this session, we will explain the key mathematical concepts the children are learning, the resources used to support their understanding, and the end-of-year expectations.

8.00 - 8.30 am – Book Look: Spend time reviewing your child’s work

8.35 - 9.00 am – Maths Workshop led by Rachael Drouin and Donna Sanderson

We will record the session for parents who are unable to attend, but we hope to see as many of you there as possible.

We are looking forward to a wonderful day out with lots of practical learning. The trip will depart at 9 am travelling by train, from Pangbourne to Reading, to the museum and will return to school for the usual 3.40 pm pick up. After School Activity Clubs and Late Club will run as normal.

Your child needs to come to school in school uniform. They will also need green school coats and their empty green backpack and water bottle. As usual, we will be using the rucksacks for lunches and water. School will provide all children with a packed lunch and water. There are no additional costs. 

There will be no after-school activities for Pre-Prep children in the last week of term. If childcare is required after 3.40 pm please book into Late Club via SOCS.

As part of this term’s Earth and Beyond topic, the children will be visiting Winchester Science Museum for a full day of activities, departing at 9.00 am and returning by 3.40 pm for pick up. After-school activity clubs and Late Club will run as normal.

Your child needs to come to school in their school uniform, with their green school coat and empty green school rucksack, which we will use for lunches as well as their water bottle.

School will provide all children with a packed lunch and water throughout the day.

From 8.30 am, parents can park in Pre-Prep spaces and head to the Sports Hall, where refreshments will be available. The assembly will begin at 9.00 am. Nursery children will be watching but will not take part. All parents are welcome, particularly mummies who will have a special surprise!

For all Pre-Prep children, the school day ends at 3:30 - 3:40 pm. Siblings of Prep school children will be supervised until the end of Section Music.
