In this new section, we will share initiatives and suggestions that the children have raised through their Pupil Voice forums. Each committee meets regularly, agendas and minutes are taken by senior pupils and actions agreed.

The children had a meeting with the Chef and catering manager to discuss the menus from the past few weeks, as well as launching a poster competition focused on Healthy Eating.
Charity Committee
The whole school Bring and Buy sale raised £510, raising the total funds this academic year to an amazing £10,294.
School Council
The children asked for a PSHE lesson focused on mental health, with a particular consideration for men, and Mr Howard then came to talk to both Year 8 classes and there will be follow up discussions in form group over the coming weeks.

Nursery and Reception visit to The Grange Care Home and Hillfields Farm - Monday 8th December
A reminder that Nursery and Reception will going to The Grange Care Home for a festive sing song, followed by a Christmas Trail around Hillfields Farm grounds and a winter picnic. We will be leaving school at 10 am, travelling in the school mini-buses, and will return to school by 2 pm. All lunch and snacks will be provided, so there is no need to send anything extra in with them on that day.
Christmas Post Boxes - last day for posting is Wednesday 10th December
This is the last chance to use the Christmas post boxes available in the Pre-Prep, Reception, and Nursery buildings where children can send Christmas cards to friends and teachers. Please ensure the envelopes are clearly labelled with the recipient's name and class. The last post is on Wednesday 10th December.
Year 1 & 2 End of Term Christmas Carol Concert, Bradfield College - Friday 12th December 2 pm
Year 1 & 2 have been invited to join Years 3 - 5 at Bradfield College Chapel for the end of term Christmas Carol Services on Friday 12th December, 2 pm- 3 pm. Parents are invited to come along and are welcome to collect their children from Bradfield College directly afterwards.
• Children to wear school uniform and their green school coat. No bookbags please
• Parents are very welcome and can arrive from 1.30 pm at Bradfield College. For parking, please follow the signs and the instructions from the staff marshal team.
• Please arrive no later than 1.50 pm to be seated ready for the Carol Service to start promptly at 2 pm. Please be aware it is a 5-10 minute walk from the car parks to the Chapel.
Please can all Year 1 and 2 families fill in this form linked here to indicate whether you will be picking up from Bradfield College directly or, if you are unable to attend the concert and would like your child to be brought back to St Andrew's afterwards. We are aiming to be back at school for 3.30 pm – 3.45 pm.
Children will be taken to Bradfield College by coach. All other Pre-Prep siblings will be supervised in Pre-Prep until the service ends.
Spring Term Co-Curricular Clubs
Spring Term Co-Curricular club information will be sent out early next week for Reception, Year 1 & Year 2.
Year 7 Save the Date - 18th to the 21st September 2026
All current Year 7 pupils will be invited to the 2026 Year 8 PGL Geography fieldwork residential trip to Dorset to support their rivers and sand-dunes fieldwork.
The trip will cost approximately £275 and run from the 18th to the 21st September 2026.
Football boots needed for girls' lessons
Now that we are in the wet and muddy season, all girls need to be wearing football boots rather than trainers for their lessons please.
